About School
The Montessori School, located in the heart of Dehradun, is an educational legacy that dates back to 1943. Established as a primary school by the visionary Ms. Latika Roy, the institution has been a cornerstone of quality education in and around Dehradun for over eight decades. Over the years, the school has grown rapidly, acquiring the status of a premier educational institution in Dehradun. Our goal has been to build on Ms. Roy’s foundation and elevate the school’s facilities, curriculum, and overall educational environment, aligning with the evolving needs of modern education while remaining true to our founder’s philosophy.
Our school, over the past 80-plus years, has grown from strength to strength, offering a robust educational experience that combines traditional principles with essential twenty-first-century skills. One of my primary initiatives has been to upgrade the school’s resources to ensure our students receive an enriching and holistic learning experience.
We have been dedicated to enhancing the overall learning atmosphere of the school. We believe that a nurturing environment is essential for young minds to flourish. To that end, we have worked hard to refine our teaching methodologies and update classroom facilities to make learning more engaging and enjoyable. Our classrooms are designed to promote independence, curiosity, and self-directed learning while integrating modern teaching aids and interactive materials to complement our curriculum.
Our school offers a balanced mix of academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs that cater to the holistic development of each student. We strongly emphasize activities such as art, music, sports, and drama, allowing children to explore and express their unique talents and passions. With one of the best teacher-student ratio in Dehradun, our teachers are more than educators—they are mentors and guides who foster a supportive and stimulating environment for our students. By investing in their growth and development, we aim to ensure that our faculty remains as committed to student-centered learning as they are to academic excellence.
