The Independence Day

As part of the final leg of our celebrations to salute the ultimate sacrifice and contribution of the innumerable freedom fighters, the entire school converged in the school premises in sparkling white uniform to hoist The Tricolour on 15th August. The entire school was decked up in the three shades of our National flag. Patriotic fervour was everywhere in the air. The students, infused with nationalistic zeal, quickly assembled in formations. The children had a song and dance presentation for the occasion and when they sang the rest of the school joined in as a chorus while waving their own flags with enthusiasm, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

Dr. Neha Sharma, chairperson FICCI, FLO Uttarakhand Chapter, graced the occasion and did the honour of hoisting the Tricolour. Ms Shashi Gulati, Principal, The Montessori School, implying the need to value of the Independence Day, spoke about the sacrifices of our martyrs and how much the freedom cost us. After being introduced by the principal, Dr Neha gave three basic mantras of success in life. The day was concluded with the distribution of chocolates, biscuits and juices to the children putting a wide smile on their faces.
